The Willy William show
French DJ, producer, and singer Willy William got his start in the chart-topping group Collectif Métissé before launching a solo career with his massive 2015 single “Ego” , going on to global recognition through a 2017 collaboration with reggaeton star J Balvin, “Mi Gente,”
He grew up in a music loving household, exposed to a wide variety of styles, from French chanson to Haitian compas. As a young boy, he was fascinated with how things worked and, in a bid to stop him taking things apart, his exasperated mother bought him a guitar, his love affair with music making began, later he learned to play keyboards, and lcomputer based music production. The first track he released was in 2003, a collaboration with DJ Flex entitled “B Boyz Shake da Body,”.
Later William went on to released the solo single “La La La” in 2018, and appeared on the Jason Derulo and David Guetta single “Goodbye,” also featuring Nicki Minaj. Subsequent singles included collaborations with Cheat Codes, SWACQ, and Sandro Silva. In 2021, William and Steve Aoki released “Mambo,” which featured Sean Paul, El Alfa, Sfera Ebbasta, and Play-N-Skillz.
